About the Project
Light in Our Hearts, also known as YİDER — Solidarity with Orphans and Educational Guidance (Yetim İle Dayanışma ve Eğitim Rehberliği), is a social responsibility project developed by Marta Teknoloji to support children left behind by those who lost their lives in the February 6, 2023 Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquakes.
The project is conducted in coordination with the Hatay Governorship and the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services. To date, 6,447 children have been registered in the system, receiving comprehensive support across education, healthcare, psychological counseling and basic needs.
Our core commitment is to run the project with 100% transparency — every donation, every expense and every activity is shared with the public.
The Journey
Kahramanmaraş Earthquakes
Two major earthquakes in the early hours of Monday affected 11 provinces; thousands of children lost their parents.
Birth of the Project
Under the coordination of Hatay Governorship, the Light in Our Hearts (YİDER) project was launched on a digital platform built by Marta Teknoloji.
Field Rollout
In partnership with the Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, needs assessments, education and psychosocial support programs were initiated.
6,447 Children
6,447 children registered on the platform receive regular support across education, healthcare, psychological counseling and basic needs.
Services Provided
Education Support
We support children in their school journey through monitoring, stationery & study materials and scholarship assistance — ensuring access to quality education so every child can reach their full potential.
Healthcare Services
Periodic health screenings, coverage of urgent medical needs and coordination of treatment processes. Dental, vision and developmental follow-up are conducted regularly.
Psychological Counseling
Individual and group therapy sessions with expert psychologists to overcome earthquake trauma; school adaptation and social integration programs.
Basic Needs
Providing food, clothing, shelter and daily living needs; seasonal aid packages and emergency support coordination.
Social Integration
Sports, arts and cultural activities for community participation; events and camp programs where children can build bonds with their peers.
Career Guidance
Career counseling, internship opportunities and career preparation programs for older children, building a sustainable future.

Continuous Health Follow-up
An individual health file for each child; regular check-ups, vaccinations, dental and vision tracking are maintained without interruption.

Marta Teknoloji's Contribution
Beyond financial support, Marta Teknoloji designed and operates the full digital backbone of the YİDER project — from the donation flow to the child registry and field reporting tools. We carry this responsibility as our pro-bono engineering commitment.
All data traffic is end-to-end encrypted; children's personal information is protected to industry security standards.
Data processing is designed in line with Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law; consent, retention and deletion policies are transparent.
Redundant cloud-based infrastructure ensures uninterrupted access to the platform for donors and field teams.
All aid items, income-expenses and activity reports are shared with the public through a digital dashboard.
